My Weekend

Here is blog #2 since my return. =)

This blog will relay my version of this weekend.

It was an amazing except for the part in which I had to leave early from a service and miss an early prayer time. But other than that, I repeat, it was amazing. Wow!

For weeks before I had been practicing with a combined worship team from all four churches. That in itself was a blast, because I got to hag out with friends from Los Encinos and El Centro like Madai, Vania, Luis Angel, Joel, Jesus, Juanito, and Cesar. But, nothing compared to the event itself.

On Friday, I went to school anxiously anticipating the evening ahead. Mark came home and drove me over to wait around jaja. I raise my glass to you, Mark, for your patience and brother-liness. However, at the time my voice was failing horribly and I was worried. I thought my solo would be butchered to pieces. I tried everything in my power to fix it. Prayer, Honey, water, not talking, vocal and physical exercises. But once I stepped onto the stage, I felt God beside me and it was all forgotten. I simply worshipped the best way I could and, apparently, it turned out acceptable. I especially enjoyed the song called “Generación que Danza”.

In the middle of the service, I was obligated to slip out to attend Samantha’s Quinceñera dinner. We had a late night of laughs and fun. In the morning, my father picked me up and I showered to go over again to the auditorium. (Yes, I showered =)) . At three forty, there was a great youth service in which Mark performed really well. We jumped and danced around a lot jeje.

I have to say I agree with Mark about Jesse Ochoa and Hugo Martinez. It seemed as if Jesse didn’t really preach from the Bible. I learned quite a bit from Hugo. However, I will say that both people made me laugh my butt off. =D

Saturday night was another great service and a “carrilloso” brother afterward. Jaja just kidding, Mark. I was talking with a friend afterward and he gave me a bunch of crap about it. Ni al caso jaja

I agree that Sunday did not disappoint at all. The service was superb and the “hang out” time afterward, too.

I really felt God this weekend and t was beautiful.

P.S. High school is going really well!!

I Love Elephants

This is just something I wrote about five hours after David told me he had a son. =)

I never know it would be so wonderful . I mean, I haven’t even seen him and I’m already in love with the niño hermoso. I don’t know how Adrienne can possibly cope with so much joy. When he’s actually yours, it must be so much more… beautiful. Yes, that’s the word for it. Beauty. A sign of God’s great power, an answered prayer, a drop of love. Simply beautiful. How beautiful to be an answered prayer!
I can’t imagine her infinite happiness and pretty relief. To hold the soft, warm bundle in the natural cradle of her arms. To stroke the plump, rosy cheek and kiss the peaceful face all over. To squeeze the teeny tiny toes and tickle the bottom of the teeny tiny feet. To grab the hands reaching out for your embrace. To bury your nose in his tummy and blow gentle raspberries. To see the dimples of his first smile. To watch his miniature body rise and fall with the steady breathing of sleep. To love him everyday of your life and his life and for the rest of eternity.
It’s agonizing to think I have to wait a whole seven weeks to see my nephew Ben. I miss him already and I’ve never met him. I’ve known about his birth for five hours and I’ve already thanked God a million times for his life.
God loves him just the way he is and so do I. So much. It’s unlike anything else I’ve ever felt. He’s stolen my heart. I love you, Ben. I love you, Adrienne. I love you, David. <3

Argentina yeah!

ok so lately i've been neglecting my blog. =$ sorry. I'm a busy/lazy person. DOn't worry! i'll get over it =D.

I have decided to dedicate some of the next few blogs to my Argentina trip. This one is somewhat related to Steven's drastic goaL.

In the United States and Northern Mexico, we have this weird obsession for material "things". Somehow, money is important to us and our lives. People will choose an extra shift instead of a night with the family to have more money for the summer trip or the next version of Apple's ipod. The people in Carmen de Areco have a lifestyle that is so much less dependent on the worldly devices that make life easier. The youth take time while reaching for goals and careers to live at peace. Of course, they don't laze around doing nothing. Their extra time is filled building relationships, hanging out, eating together, ect. For example, when a teen may listen to their mp3, the people in Carmen will get together and PLAY music. I think that we need to realize that a new car isn't always the best idea.

Anyway, enough preaching for one sitting.

I say

Can you say anything?
Think of something to say
and say it.

You say
that I say
that you can say
anything I say.

Don't say
anything I say
unless I say
you can say
WHat I say...
so shut up
=S

Extra Year

Ok... so i haven't posted in a while...

D=

Sorry guys, well here it goes!!!!!!

The year that lays ahead of me will be full, new, and feels a little weird. I am going to be finished with middle school and will be entering high school! Woah!

Many of my friends are thinking of taking drastic measures in attemtp to pomp themeselves and are going to endeavor finishing in three years. I thought over it, as well, but decided against it. Every one of these students will be studying their brains out. Each spare minute will be filled with an open book. I will be able to spend more of my time doing other activities. In the long run, I think that the extra year will work to my advantage. Building relationships, having fun in high school, participating in church activities, and being able to work. These are the things that will be impossible for Manny, Isabella, Joseph... ect.

What do you guys think???
